The exchange rates of the US dollar on the black market, against the Syrian pound, today, Friday, December 9, 2022, in the markets of the capital, Damascus, recorded 5870 pounds for purchase, compared to 5930 pounds for sale for the US dollar.
The price of the Syrian pound against the Turkish lira
The price of the Turkish lira against the Syrian pound reached 313 Syrian pounds at the time of purchase, while the selling price amounted to 318 Syrian pounds.
The price of the euro today in Syria
Today, the exchange rate of the euro against the Syrian pound reached 6,182 pounds for purchase, and 6,250 pounds for sale.
Factors affecting the Syrian pound
The Syrian pound continued to fall against the US dollar on the black market, as the Syrian pound suffered a decline at its lowest levels since the beginning of the conflict in 2011, as it lost most of its value on the black market.
This comes amid expectations that the value of the Syrian pound will continue to deteriorate for a longer period, in light of the lack of a real way out for the severely declining Syrian economy.
