Until now we have never had the threat of Islamic terrorism in Greece. But one should never say never, and the authorities don’t say it. The STAR spoke with a competent source who explained to us that a very strict “scanning” is being done and will be done at the borders, in order to know who is entering our country and what their past is. This requires, of course, the full activation of the information network and cooperation with foreign and European services.

The assessment is that it is difficult for terrorist Islamist groups operating in Africa to move to Europe. The danger facing Europe – and our country of course – is that of the lone wolves, the radicalized devotees of Islam, as happened recently in Belgium. All this is also discussed regularly in the KYSEA, which meets every two months, the next meeting is around mid-April,” says the STAR journalist.
