Providence police officers went to a bar on Sunday night responding to calls about a “major disturbance” at an entertainment center that has been the subject of complaints from area residents, according to US media reports.
The police officers showed up at the “Mi Sueño” bar on Broad Street, where it was reported that a large number of people began to leave the place.
Although the authorities did not arrest anyone and no injuries were reported, in a video of almost a minute and a half circulating on social networks, it can be seen that a group made up of mostly Dominican men and women beat each other, throw chairs, drinks and other objects, leading to a massive fight inside the club.
Police officers said they worked to disperse the mob and upon arrival noticed that the sound from the bar exceeded the limits allowed by the establishment’s permit.
