According to Donald Lowe, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, the US enjoys strong ties with Pakistan under Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s government.
Donald Low, while giving an interview to private TV, expressed hope for Pakistan’s economic recovery and ongoing reforms.
“We are very encouraged by Pakistan’s economic recovery,” Donald Lowe remarked during an interview after his recent meeting with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb at World Bank headquarters.
“These reforms are not easy, but they are very important for the long-term stability of Pakistan,” he said.
He further said that their successful implementation will benefit all sections of the society including the youth.

Donald Lowe reiterated US support for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts on security cooperation.
He said that we are working together with the army and government of Pakistan in the war against terrorism.
