The war in Ukraine is arousing great emotion throughout Europe, including at home. To show solidarity with the Ukrainian population, many fundraisers are organized in our country. Example at Palace 11 in Brussels, open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., where cars have been following each other en masse for a few days.
Donors deliver food, clothing, hygiene products and even household appliances. “Me, it touches me a lot. I am of Romanian origin, it touches me. They are my neighbours”, says one of the donors, visibly moved. Dozens of volunteers then take care of the sorting, before loading the trucks. 12 have already left here, 4 others will do so in the next few days. All took the direction of the border towns of Ukraine.
But it still lacks some important elements, which the Ukrainians need. These include drugs, underwear, boots, tourniquets and bandages.
