According to BILD information, the Dutchman from Manchester United will arrive in Frankfurt on Tuesday for a medical check. Only then will the contracts become valid and can be submitted to the DFL.
Eintracht and ManUnited have already agreed. Midfield star van de Beek is initially coming on loan until the end of the season. Eintracht can then take out a purchase option – for a transfer fee of just under 10 million euros.
Van de Beek, who has only had two short appearances in the Premier League this season, could be brought in by coach Dino Toppmöller (43) as the successor to captain Sebastian Rode (33), who is ending his career in the summer. At Ajax, the former national player made a name for himself as a strong, versatile midfielder in 175 appearances (41 goals/34 assists). In the short term he has to replace Ellyes Skhiri, who is taking part in the Afika Cup with Tunisia.
Things didn’t go well for van de Beek in Manchester after a strong start, partly due to several injuries. The Bundesliga could be a career booster. Eintracht has brought many stars back into shape.
