Hans Peter Doskozil won the SPÖ member survey just ahead of Traiskirchen’s mayor Andreas Babler. A party conference on June 3 will decide which of the two will become the new chairman of the Social Democrats. The party executive agreed on this on Tuesday. Doskozil defended that the run-off election will not be held in a second member survey, as desired by Babler on Tuesday evening in the “ZiB2”. The procedure was once worked out with great effort and was now agreed that way, said the Burgenland governor.
