In the end there was a double victory. Hans Peter Doskozil was not only able to win the basic vote. The majority of the around 600 delegates at the party congress also voted for the Burgenlander. With the new SPÖ boss, a new start must now go hand in hand – and with it the end of the embarrassing self-occupation of the Reds. For too long it was regarding personalities instead of politics. So: over, over, over – it’s decided.
