Double Shooting In Tenderloin Closes Leavenworth Street

There was a shooting Thursday followingnoon near the intersection of Leavenworth Street and Golden Gate Avenue, and reportedly two people were shot.

The shooting was first reported at 12:46 p.m., according to the Citizen app. Arriving first responders soon allegedly confirmed that two individuals had been shot.

The San Francisco Department of Emergency Management subsequently sent out an alert just following 1 p.m. to avoid the area due to police activity.

Per Citizen, “Officers at the scene describe the suspect vehicle as a black Dodge with slightly tinted windows that was last seen going southbound on Leavenworth St.”

A section of Leavenworth Street remained closed for the investigation.

The condition of the victims is not yet known. One person might be seen being taken on a stretcher to an ambulance in the Citizen video (below).
