Dow futures fell more than 100 points as investors watched the situation in Ukraine. and the direction of the US interest rate After the release of the minutes of the meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed)

At 8:22 p.m. Thai time, the Dow futures index dropped 123 points or 0.34% to 34,728 points.

Walmart shares rose more than 2% in pre-market trading today. After the company released 4Q21 earnings and revenue that beat analysts’ expectations.

The Dow fell more than 200 points in intraday trading yesterday. But the market closed down just 54 points after the Fed released its minutes of its Jan 25-26 meeting, saying it was preparing to raise interest rates and cut its balance sheet soon, in line with previous market expectations.

Investors still keep an eye on the situation in Ukraine. The satellite imagery indicates that Russia continues to mobilize troops and has a large amount of equipment along the Ukrainian border. The Russian army has previously claimed that some of its troops had been withdrawn.

US officials said Russia has increased the number of troops along the Ukrainian border to 7,000, from 150,000 already.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia was concerned and was monitoring the violence in the Donbas region. After reports of clashes between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian rebels in the region.

Earlier, the Russian state news agency RIA reported that Ukrainian troops have attacked rebels in the Donbas region. This is considered a ceasefire zone under the Minsk Agreement.

The United States warned that Russia is actively investigating and staging to create conditions for an attack on Ukraine at any moment.
