Dr. Archimedes Oramas Sáenz dies

At 102 years of age the doctor died Archimedes Oramas Saenzpioneer of medicine in Tabasco.

The unfortunate news was released by his eldest son, Archimedes Oramas Vargasthrough their social networks.

“The Oramas Vargas family, we inform you with deep sorrow, the death of our beloved father, Dr. Arquímedes Oramas Saenz. His children: Arquimedes, José Luis, Patricia de los Ángeles, Olga Rita, Alejandro, Carlos Alberto and Norma Beatriz, we beg you and We appreciate the prayers for his eternal rest.”he stated.

Doctor Oramas, as he was popularly known, was born in the municipality of Cunduacán in the year 1920; at 37 years of age he graduated as a surgeon and opened his own medical practice, and by 1963 he founded the “Oramas Clinic“, which was located on Ignacio Zaragoza street, in front of “Los Pajaritos” Park, which was later moved to Hidalgo street.

Dr. Oramas was even one of the nine doctors who founded in 1959 the School of Human Medicine from the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, where he worked as a professor-researcher for 31 years, from 1960 to 1991.

In addition, he was a promoter of the integration of the Tabasco Medical College and the conversion of the “Juan Graham Casasús” Hospital into a school.

Dr. Oramas was a fervent believer that medicine is a vocation of servicewhere the only currency that can compensate the delivery, is the recognition of society.

The Oramas Vargas family reported that the body of Dr. Archimedes is being veiled in room 3 of the Memorial Enclosureand this Monday, the priest Roberto Sánchez Cabrera will celebrate the body mass present at 9 in the morning and will be buried in the same place at 10 in the morning.
