At the UFM, Dr. Barrios was assistant professor of Physiology and is taking a postgraduate in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Each year, in the local residency programs at that university in the United States of America, a resident is chosen who embodies the principles of professionalism.
«Those principles entail behaviors that demonstrate that, as doctors, we are worthy of the trust that patients and the public place on us. These commitments are those adopted by The Physician Charter on Professionalism by the American College of Physicians,” the award rules say.
