A one-and-a-half-year-old girl died on Sunday in Lochristi, in the Ghent region, after being hit by her father in a car. The accident happened around 3 p.m., the child went into the driveway of their house while his father was backing up at that time. Unfortunately, he did not see his daughter on the way. After hitting her, he immediately stopped and tried to rescue her but it was too late. The girl died as a result of the accident.
