Defending champion Salzburg meets Union Gurten from the Regionalliga (RL) Mitte in the second round of the Uniqa-ÖFB-Cup. Rapid has to deal with USV Allerheiligen (RL Mitte), Austria with ASV Siegendorf (RL Ost) and Sturm Graz with Austria Salzburg (RL Salzburg). That was the result of the draw by ORF domestic policy chief Hans Bürger on Friday in Vienna. The games will take place from August 30th to September 1st.
The state association clubs have the opportunity to apply to the ÖFB for home rights. Even before the Bundesliga teams – all twelve had managed to get promoted from the first round – eight of the ten remaining second division teams were drawn among themselves. The other two representatives of the 2nd division, FC Dornbirn and Admira, drew opponents TSV Hartberg and SCR Altach respectively.
Austria Klagenfurt plays against Schwarz Weiß Bregenz (RL Vorarlberg), WAC against Deutschlandsberger SC (RL Mitte), LASK against SC Imst (RL Tirol), SV Ried against Hertha Wels (RL Mitte), Austria Lustenau against Wiener Sport-Club (RL Ost) and WSG Tirol against FCM Traiskirchen (RL Ost).
