Draymond Green tones ahead of possible Finals matchup with Boston Celtics

The Golden State Warriors are back in the NBA Finals after three years. Draymond Green feels satisfaction after defeating the Dallas Mavericks and has already spoken about the finals opponent who has not yet been determined.

“So far nobody has shown that we can be beaten when we’re complete,” said Draymond Green, who was already in the studio, after the game TNT stated that he expects the Warriors to meet the Boston Celtics in the Finals.

“No one has proven that we can be ousted. We approached it with that mentality,” Green said of the fact that the Warriors are still the top dogs in the West. “We understand what it takes to win a championship.”

Green also had a few words ready for the critics: “We’ve already been written off, it was said that our dynasty was over. It feels all the better, even if we still have four games to win. Before the season I couldn’t guarantee We’re going to win a championship, but with Klay, Steph and I we always have a chance.”

The three have been on the field together since 2012, during which time the Warriors have won 22 series and lost only four. Since head coach Steve Kerr took over, the Warriors are unbeaten in the west (18-0), only losing twice in the finals.

Draymond Green on Klay’s ordeal

But the past three years haven’t always been easy for the dubs, Green had to admit that too. Klay Thompson first tore his cruciate ligament and then his Achilles tendon, Stephen Curry broke his hand and Green himself has also struggled with injuries, most recently with back problems earlier this year.

“It’s a special moment because nobody believed that we would go through to the finals again with this group. Klay has had two bad injuries, Steph broke his hand and two years ago we only won 15 games .”

Green was particularly pleased for Thompson, who was the Warriors’ top scorer in Game 5 with 32 points and eight three-pointers converted: “We saw his dark days. There were weeks when he was completely depressed. And yet he carried on. It’s even nicer that he had his moment today.”

So now the dubs are back on the big stage for the sixth time in the past eight years. The Chicago Bulls around Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, who led Chicago to six championships between 1991 and 1998, managed such a series for the last time. The record for the dubs is not that perfect, but in the coming weeks Curry and Co. have the chance to win their fourth title in the Kerr era.
