Kinshasa, February 28, 2024 – Through a press release, a copy of which reached Dépêche.cd, the Senate union delegation said it was unpleasantly surprised this Wednesday morning, February 28, 2024, to see unknown people come to invade the seat of parliament, their workplace, making false and abusive statements thus disturbing the tranquility of agents and executives of the upper house of parliament.

In the same document, Francois Mputu Bonya, president of this structure, recalls that a few days ago, the union delegation “the only body authorized to defend the rights of agents and executives of the administration of the upper house of parliament, I sent a letter of thanks to the office of the Senate as well as to its president for all the achievements from which we have benefited”.

He added that the outgoing office allowed them to know: “the significant increase in the remuneration of agents; the construction of new offices for agents; and the construction of a digital center linking the senate and the provincial assemblies it represents; Medical care with provision of medication; The rejuvenation of the administration of the Senate through the admission under status and the mechanization of all agents; The regularization of administrative files thus eliminating the thorny problems of so-called NU agents”.

In addition, the head of the union delegation confirms that the Bahati office managed the Senate well and left an indelible mark on the officials of our institution.

“I reiterate my thanks to the President and his office for the achievements made during their tenure.”

Furthermore, he calls for the benevolence and involvement of the Head of State, for the regularization of their salary situation for the months of January and February 2024, the files of which are being processed by the government.
