At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Dreame expanded far beyond its traditional robotic vacuum lineup by showcasing the LEAPTIC Cube 8K action camera, the ChillLab Frozen Treat Maker, and the FizzFreshCube sparkling water refrigerator, signaling a strategic pivot into consumer electronics and home appliances.
Challenging the Action Camera Giants with the LEAPTIC Cube
That narrative dissolved on the exhibition floor in Berlin this September 2026. Tucked away in a secondary exhibition space, the company rolled out hardware designed to take direct aim at DJI, GoPro, and Insta360. At the center of this push sits the LEAPTIC Cube.
This compact shooter records video up to 8K resolution at 30 frames per second, handles 4K HDR at 60 FPS, and captures slow-motion 4K footage at 120 FPS. Stills get a 50-megapixel sensor boost, backed by an ultra-wide 155-degree field of view. Stabilization is handled via GyroSteady AI, while data moves fast over Wi-Fi 6. Storage options sit at 64GB or 128GB of onboard flash, and the chassis boasts a waterproof rating down to 10 meters.
First presented at CES 2026, the device hit Berlin in the form in which Dreame wants to push it seriously to market. Dreame demonstrated the hardware using a model train setup that pulled the camera through a tunnel, feeding the feed in real time. Surrounding the display cases were modular mounting brackets, helmet harnesses, and pet mounts.
Exploring Gimbal Prototypes and Micro Four Thirds Territory
The action camera is just the opening salvo in a broader imaging push. The secondary Berlin booth also housed several gimbal camera concepts that remain in the prototyping phase. These included Micro Four Thirds models and a dual-camera setup featuring a flip screen.
While the company has not yet attached commercial branding or concrete release dates to these gimbal concepts, their physical form factor tells a clear story. Dreame is approaching the territory of the DJI Pocket and compact cameras for creators.
Reengineering the Modern Kitchen and Laundry Space
Imaging hardware was only part of the surprise. Dreame’s secondary booth turned heavily toward white goods, bringing connected smart home appliances. Take the ChillLab Frozen Treat Maker, for instance. It turns out fresh batches of ice cream, granita, and chilled beverages in roughly 10 minutes. It accomplishes this without requiring users to pre-freeze the recipient beforehand, relying instead on a 360-degree compressor cooling architecture.
Adjacent to the treat maker sat the ToastControl smart toaster, featuring an integrated touchscreen interface and automated lift mechanics. Espresso machines, blenders, and the Feast Dual-Zone air fryer—which splits cooking tasks across two independent cooking zones—rounded out the culinary display.
In the laundry and utility sector, the company debuted the L9 series. This setup pairs an AI Inverter washing machine with a Twin Inverter dryer. Further down the aisle, the FizzFreshCube refrigerator—boasting a 524-liter total capacity—addressed a very specific consumer demand by integrating a dedicated SparklingBar. The unit dispenses carbonated water directly from the refrigerator across three distinct carbonation levels, alongside two types of ice and a temperature-adjustable storage drawer.
The Strategic Shift Away from Single-Category Branding
By dividing its presence at IFA 2026 into distinct zones, Dreame effectively communicated a transition from a specialized cleaning brand to a diversified technology company. The primary booth demonstrated how far Dreame robotics had evolved. But it was this secondary, unpredictable space—bouncing from an 8K action camera to a sparkling water fridge—that proved the company is no longer willing to stay in a single category.
