Distance controls were also carried out. 67 vehicle drivers fell short of the required minimum distance.

On Saturday, officials from the Salzburg State Transport Department carried out distance and speed checks on the A 10 Tauernautobahn in Flachgau. A total of 67 vehicle drivers fell short of the required minimum distance. One driver particularly stood out. While traveling at 109 km/h, he only left a distance of eleven meters to the vehicle in front. At this measured speed, a distance of at least 32 meters would be required. In addition, 99 drivers exceeded the maximum permitted speed. One driver was even traveling 63 km/h too fast. A little later, a patrol from the Anif motorway police was able to stop the 28-year-old from Salzburg on the A10, temporarily electronically take away his driver’s license and prohibit him from continuing his journey, the police report.
