Drone Crash Causes Fire Near Oil Refinery in Kaluga Region

A drone that crashed in the Kaluga region on June 1 burned a hectare of land near an oil refinery. This was stated by the representative of the emergency services.

“There was a fall of the wreckage of an aircraft-type UAS (unmanned aerial system) five kilometers from the First Plant oil refinery,” emergency services told RIA Novosti. Dry grass caught fire due to the fall of the drone. The total fire area was one hectare. The firefighters were able to put out the fire in time. The drone fell 310 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
