2023-07-18 10:33:21

The drought expertise unit led by the Regional Crisis Center met on Tuesday. The group, bringing together stakeholders in the water sector in the Walloon Region, regularly monitors the state of our soils, groundwater and waterways.

Among the conclusions, one observation: the trend is currently rather dry. These last weeks, the rains remained fairly sparse, points of drought are appearing, in particular near Liège and in the east of the country. “But the rain is coming!”reassures Nicolas Yernaux, spokesman for the Public Service of Wallonia. “We note the return of precipitation from Sunday until Wednesday. We will then review the situation.”
