Books – Ahmed Abdel Moneim:
Dr. Jamal Shaaban, former dean of the Heart Institute, confirmed that there might be a relationship between drowning and a heart problem.

Shaaban commented, during his meeting with the media, Azza Mustafa, on the program “Al-Tahrir Hall”, broadcast on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, on the death of the son of the artist, Hassan Youssef, that the first problem is that a person descends into cold water, and he is not used to it, which may lead to an imbalance. In the electrocardiogram, or he has a heart problem, and drowning occurs.

He added, “If a person is not accustomed to going into cold water while his body is warm, the vagus nerve may be activated in him if he was born with a latent electrical defect, and the heart stops.”

He pointed out that last year, a child lost his life, because he drank ice water, and this does not happen to everyone, but it happens to people who have a genetic predisposition.
