On Aug. 12, agents with the LPSO Narcotics Division assisted the Louisiana State Fire Marshal with obtaining a search warrant for Navarre’s Pastries in Springfield, Louisiana, uncovering what Sheriff Jason Ard called a distribution hub for various narcotics. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, agents seized 52 firearms alongside quantities of cocaine, prescription narcotics, and anabolic steroids.
A Distribution Hub Disguised as a Springfield Bakery
The operation unfolded when investigators executed a search warrant at Navarre’s Pastries, a local establishment situated in Springfield. Agents with the LPSO Narcotics Division assisted the Louisiana State Fire Marshal.
According to Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office records, agents cataloged approximately 42.8 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 200 dosage units of suspected MDMA, and an array of pharmaceutical narcotics, including approximately 394 dosage units of Adderall. The haul also included approximately four dosage units of Vyvanse, approximately two dosage units of alprazolam, and approximately one dosage unit of diazepam, alongside performance-enhancing substances consisting of approximately six dosage units and one vial of D-Bol, as well as one vial of nandrolone.
An Arsenal of 52 Firearms and Stolen Hardware
Beyond the pharmacological inventory, weaponry was recovered from the commercial property. Investigators hauled out 52 firearms from the premises. A subsequent check confirmed that one of those weapons was reported stolen through the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to the drugs and guns, agents seized approximately $3,550 in U.S. currency, pending seizure.
Charges and Legal Proceedings for Jules Navarre
Following the execution of the search warrant, authorities arrested 43-year-old Jules Navarre of Springfield. He was processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Navarre’s charges include 52 counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of CDS, alongside one count of illegal possession of a stolen firearm. Furthermore, he faces multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute across various drug schedules: one count for Schedule I CDS, three counts for Schedule II CDS, two counts for Schedule III CDS, and two counts for Schedule IV CDS, as well as a charge for possession of drug paraphernalia. The case remains under investigation.
