Thrissur ∙ A taxi passenger died in an accident while running a car racing competition. Four people, including the taxi driver, were seriously injured. The accident took place at 9.30 pm in Thrissur Kottekkad on Wednesday. During the race, one of the cars hit a taxi. The driver of the car that caused the accident was taken into custody by the police.
The passenger in the taxi died. 4 people including the deceased’s wife, daughter and taxi driver were seriously injured. Thar vehicle caused the accident. Locals said that two cars were doing a long distance race. Medical examination revealed that the Thar driver was drunk. The taxi drivers gathered at the spot and demanded action once morest the culprits.
