The woman stated that despite informing the Air India cabin crew immediately about the incident that took place on November 6, no action was taken. The information came to light when the passenger filed a complaint with Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekharan describing the shocking experience on the flight.
The incident took place in the business class of Air India’s AI-102 flight. The flight, which took off from the John F Kennedy International Airport at 1 a.m. local time, landed in Delhi and the person who behaved rudely walked out of the airport. In the complaint, the passenger stated that the authorities were unwilling to take any action against him or stop him.

The passenger said that she had a bad experience from fellow passengers after lunch. The passenger, who was under the influence of alcohol, came near and unzipped his panty and exposed his private parts. Then urine was poured on the body. The passenger also stated that he moved away from her only when another passenger saw this and asked him to stay away.
There was urine on the clothes, shoes and bag. Cabin crew provided pajamas and slippers. The employee gave her their seat because she couldn’t sit on the urine-soaked seat. The passenger alleged that the staff forced her to sit on the wet seat even though the first class seat of the flight was vacant. After two hours, the employee got her seat. But soon the employees gave instructions to return to their own seats in this seat. A sheet was spread on the seat that was stained with urine. Another seat was given after two hours. The passenger’s complaint says that they sat here till the end of the journey.

He had to spend time in the washroom while the flight crew cleaned his seat. After standing there for several minutes, a decision was taken regarding allotment of seats. The authorities failed to resolve the issue on the plane. In the complaint, the passenger states that the staff did not take any measures to ensure her safety.
Air India said that the passenger’s complaint has been forwarded to the police. An internal investigation was conducted. Air India added that it has recommended the government to put the passenger on the no-fly list. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has sought a report from the airline.
