Al-Marsad Newspaper: A drunken Russian soldier destroyed the $160 million S-400 air defense system by throwing it into a ditch.
The missile system was destroyed following it was overturned in a hole next to a highway in the Tula region, western Russia, following a soldier lost control of a tractor equipped with an anti-aircraft missile system. .
The truck carrying the missile system was moving in a convoy of eight vehicles before it veered off the highway and crashed into the ditch.
The S-400 system is a mobile surface-to-air missile system designed by Russia and is capable of engaging aircraft, drones and cruise missiles. It entered service in 2007 and costs regarding $160 million.
