The Directorate of State Security and Intelligence (DSN) is currently celebrating its two-year anniversary. The BVT’s successor authority recently removed several radical Islamists from circulation who were accused of planning attacks on the Rainbow Parade in Vienna and at Vienna Central Station. Without appropriate information from abroad, the suspects would hardly have been arrested, points out DSN director Omar Haijawi-Pirchner.
