DSV puts ÖSV under pressure: Nothing stands in the way of the Four Hills Tournament for women in Germany

At least from the German side, nothing stands in the way of a women’s tour.

“There will definitely be two home World Cups next winter – on December 29th in Partenkirchen and on New Year’s Day in Oberstdorf. Then you’ll see what happens on the other side,” said Hüttel.

With the “other side” Hüttel meant the two stations in Austria. On December 15, Roswitha Stadlober, President of the ÖSV, surprisingly declared that, contrary to what had been agreed, there would be a women’s tour in 2024/25 at the earliest.

There are currently “many factors to be considered that do not allow for an earlier introduction”.

Golden owl causes a shake of the head

As a result, some of the ski jumpers spoke of “impudence”.

Instead of a golden eagle like the men, the Olympic silver medalist Katharina Althaus and Co. are currently fighting for a golden owl at the New Year’s tournament in Villach and Ljubno – which in turn caused Sven Hannawald to shake his head.

“There are other birds than a nocturnal, spherical part,” says the last German tour winner.
