Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, concluded its trade mission to the Retail Technology Show being held on April 26-27 in London.
The exhibition is organized annually in London, and attracts the most prominent forward-thinking retailers and pioneers of technological innovation in the United Kingdom and Europe, with the purpose of networking, learning, exploring the latest trends in the retail sector, and reviewing the latest innovations that raise the status of the sector.
On this occasion, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said: “Dubai is one of the most attractive retail markets in the region, and this vital sector provides a significant contribution to the emirate’s gross domestic product, exceeding 24% during the first nine months of 2022.”
Lootah added: “The Chamber continues to support its members in accessing important platforms such as the Retail Technology Show in London, with the aim of enriching their experiences and informing them of the latest trends and opportunities in the retail sector.”
The trade mission of the Dubai International Chamber to the exhibition included 7 representatives of retail companies in Dubai to present their experiences. The members of the delegation toured the exhibition and participated in its various activities, which included attending conferences that showcased the visions of the most prominent thinkers in the sector, meetings between companies, and inspiring dialogues on technology topics.
The members of the delegation held 50 bilateral business meetings with participants in the exhibition to discuss opportunities for cooperation and bilateral partnerships. Sending this trade mission falls within the framework of the “New Horizons for External Expansion” initiative launched by Dubai International Chamber with the aim of stimulating the international expansion of its members into selected new markets.
