Dyson is quietly developing robots that can do housework

Dyson

from before Zone As you can see from the air purifying headphones, Dyson has spent a lot of time on some niche products. And now they’re announcing that they actually have an entire department that’s been developingRobots for housework. However, the specific details are naturally inconvenient to disclose at present, but as you can see from the video released by Dyson, most of the prototypes appear in the form of robotic arms. Some can measure sofas and vacuum up cushions, others can help you move dishes to a draining rack, or pick up toys for sorting. In addition to this, Dyson also demonstrated the so-called “perception laboratory.” Its main mission is to study robot vision to help it determine the home environment through sensors, cameras and thermal imaging systems.

To advance the housekeeping robot project, Dyson hopes to assemble a team of engineers that can reach about 700 people. It is for this purpose that they choose to announce the plan in order to attract talents to join. “What you’re developing is very important to attracting engineers,” says Jake Dyson, the company’s chief engineer. “Robots are like wearables, and they represent Dyson’s future.”
