E40: Road reopened at Battice towards Brussels

(History) This morning, around 5:45 a.m., a lorry transporting straw caught fire on the E40 in Herstal at km 92 towards Brussels. The driver was injured, but his life is not in danger, the federal police told the Belga agency. Two lanes have been neutralized since this morning. The roadway was closed in Hauts-Sarts from 7 a.m. then in Battice until 12:40 p.m. Traffic is still very slow from Battice. The 35 Hauts Sarts access ramp is also closed.
