Earthquake in Turkey: The Moroccan Embassy in Ankara asks people looking for their relatives to provide information about them

Ankara – The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ankara has asked callers who are looking for their relatives to provide information regarding them, following the earthquake that struck several localities in southern Turkey on Monday.

A statement from the diplomatic representation indicates that the embassy has requested to be provided by e-mail or via the WhatsApp application with the name and telephone number of the caller, the name of the person sought, his telephone number and the city in which they reside, as well as a copy of the national card and the passport of the person concerned, if available.

This information will allow the crisis unit of the embassy to communicate with the Turkish authorities in this regard, according to the same source.

And to specify that the cities affected by earthquakes are: Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Adiyaman, Hatay, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Kilis and Osmaniye.

The toll, still provisional, of the earthquake, stands at 1,541 dead and more than 9,500 injured, according to the Turkish government agency for disaster management (Afad).
