In a fire in Börwang (municipality of Haldenwang) on Monday morning three people were injured, some seriously. According to the police, the fire was initially reported by several residents. When the rescue workers arrived at the scene of the fire, part of the roof structure was already on fire.
Three injured – including a firefighter
A total of three people were injured in the fire. According to the police, a person suffered severe burns and had to be taken to the accident clinic in Murnau by rescue helicopter. Another person suffered smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also injured trying to put out the fire.
High property damage
The fire caused six-figure damage. The cause of the fire is still unclear. The fire brigade is still on site and fights individual embers.
Power cut off temporarily – warnings via speaker
During the extinguishing work, the fire brigade had to switch off the power supply for some neighboring houses. These were cut off from the supply until about 4 p.m. The residents of the surrounding houses also had to be warned via loudspeaker announcements, the police continued. The police have started the investigation.
