Hamilton 6, Montreal 14, half-time: Austin Mack caught a pass from Cody Fajardo following an interception for a major at the end of the first half.
David Côté made two field goals to give the Alouettes a slim priority in the first half.
Tiger-Cats kicker Marc Liegghio also made two field goals to allow his team to stay close to the Alouettes.

The Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats face each other in the Eastern semi-final, Saturday followingnoon at Percival-Molson Stadium.
The two teams cross swords in this first round playoff match for a third year in a row. After losing 23-12 in 2021, the Alouettes took their revenge in 2022 by winning 28-17. This last meeting was also presented in Montreal.
The winning club of today’s game will then face the Toronto Argonauts in the Eastern final next Saturday in the Queen City. Toronto is the reigning Gray Cup champion.
