Riyadh: Business visit visa to Saudi Arabia has been extended to all countries. Citizens of all countries can now visit Saudi Arabia with a business visa that can be obtained online. The Ministry of External Affairs is implementing the online business visa system in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment.
So far only a limited number of countries have been allowed this facility. That has changed now. With this all nationalities can get business visa online. A one-year visa allows you to enter and leave Saudi Arabia multiple times. The business visit visa system for foreign investors was launched last June. Visa can be obtained through a simple and easy online process. Business visit visa under the name of ‘Visitor Investor’ is to be applied on the portal of the Ministry of External Affairs. Visa will be issued soon from Digital Embassy. The applicant will receive the visa via email.

Widespread searches for violators; 16,695 expatriates were arrested within a week
Riyadh: 16,695 illegal foreigners arrested in Saudi Arabia in one week. Violations of residence, employment and border security are being intensified in various parts of the country. They were arrested during a joint search conducted by various security agencies.
10,518 people were arrested for violating the Residence Act, 3,953 for violating the Border Security Act, and 2,224 for violating the Labor Act. 783 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into the country. Among them, 57 percent are Yemenis, 42 percent are Ethiopians and one percent are from other countries. 32 lawbreakers were caught trying to leave Saudi Arabia. 18 people have been arrested for smuggling, harboring and abetting violators of residence and labor regulations. A total of 49,890 violators are currently being prosecuted for violating the rules. Among those apprehended, the files of 43,535 violators were handed over to the embassies of their respective countries for rectification of travel documents and deportation.
