Easyjet cancels 200 flights this Thursday due to technical problems

These flights depart from the United Kingdom but also from other airports in Europe (notably Paris), indicates the low-cost company.

EasyJet canceled 200 flights after it was hit by computer problems and advised customers to check their reservations before heading to the airport.

Flights scheduled to depart between noon and 2 p.m. have been affected, the low-cost carrier said. They were departing from the United Kingdom but also from other airports in Europe, notably Paris.

“Our IT team is working to restore systems as soon as possible,” easyJet said.

The company had previously said in a statement that “flights due to depart between 1pm and 3pm UK time may be impacted”.

He advised customers to use the company’s app to check the status of their booking.

Anger on social media

EasyJet customers on social media have already posted their annoyance over canceled flights from several locations, in the UK and Europe. A situation all the more complicated because the staff is lacking in European airports causing huge queues.

“We advise customers who are scheduled to travel with us today to continue to check Flight Tracker to verify the status of their flight before heading to the airport,” the company said.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and would like to thank customers for their patience as we work to resolve this issue as soon as possible.”
