A year ago, during a trip to the United States, Dieter Lenaers (30) and Stefan Van Rompaey (31), two friends from Schoten, in the province of Antwerp, went to eat in the oldest McDonald’s of the world, in San Bernardino, California.

Nothing exceptional, do you think? Well no, what’s a little crazier, however, is the idea that sprouted in their heads that day. The two friends have indeed set themselves the challenge of eating in all the McDonald’s… in Belgium.

Between last Thursday and this Wednesday, they visited one by one the 111 branches of the American giant which are located in the four corners of our country. In total, Stefan and Dieter covered more than 2,500 kilometers and spent more than 600 euros in McDonald’s: “Our record is 26 restaurants in one day,” they explained to VTM.
The two friends, who will share their adventure on their YouTube channel (the teaser of which you can see below), do not feel like they have gained weight. They admit that they have not, each time, opted for a complete meal: “On the last day, we even noticed that we could order just a sauce.”
According to them, it is in the province of Limburg that the employees are the friendliest and it is the McDonald’s in Bruges which has the most beautiful facade. Are you keen to take on the challenge?
