As revealed on Wednesday afternoon by the state-majority company, between April and June its profits also set a new quarterly record, standing at 10.5 billion pesos, a figure that exceeded analysts’ expectation of 8 billion pesos. .

With this, at the end of the first half of the year, the company’s profits reached 17.04 billion pesos, an item that had an increase of 150 percent compared to that observed in the first half of 2021, thus becoming the best semester in history for the company’s results.
This indicates that in just six months Ecopetrol has already exceeded the profits for all of 2021, which were 16.7 billion pesos.

Likewise, in the second quarter of 2022, the company’s production was 704,500 barrels per day, with an increase of 6.6 percent compared to the same period in 2021. In 6 months, the average is 698.4, which is 4.5% more than the first half of 2021, that is, it took off in the second quarter.
