He Ecuadorian prosecutor César Suárezwho was investigating the assault by an armed group on a television station in Guayaquil, was shot dead this Wednesday in the midst of the “internal armed conflict”, decreed by the Government of Ecuador to stop the spiral of violence unleashed last week by groups of organized crime.
The prosecutor, who was in charge of cases related to drug trafficking, terrorism and organized crime, was murdered this followingnoon in a sector of northern Guayaquil, the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
According to preliminary information, Suárez was heading from his home to a hearing at the Albán Borja Judicial Unit.
The prosecutor was shot directly in the head while he was in his vehicle.

The State Attorney General, Diana Salazar, deplored the crime of the Public Ministry agent and said that her agency will not stop its fight once morest organized crime groups.
“Organized crime groups, criminals, terrorists will not stop our commitment to Ecuadorian society. We will continue with more strength and commitment,” said the State Attorney General, Diana Salazar.
