Invited to the microphone of Ophélie Meunier on RTL this Saturday, Eddy Mitchell did not see with a very good eye the participation of Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the demonstration of young people against the pension reform.

This Saturday, January 21, Eddy Mitchell was the guest of the Unexpected Journal of Ophélie Meunier, on RTL. Asked about the demonstration of young people against the pension reform, the interpreter of “The Last Session” could not help but tackle Jean-Luc Mélenchon for his participation in the procession.

Against political recovery

When asked about the protests against pension reform, Eddy Mitchell said he understood the mobilization of young people. What the singer understands less, however, is the participation of the leader of La France insoumise, who placed himself at the head of the procession. “Mélenchon, I don’t understand what he’s doing there. He’s already retired, I imagine, anyway”he announces at the microphone before adding: “I don’t see what it has to do with young people.” For the singer, politics should not interfere with social events.
