Vladimir Putin looks small on the oversized stage. Fortunately, his likeness is still projected onto two large screens, to the right and left of his lectern. The barren, almost sterile-looking stage is at a reasonable distance from the audience. It consists of a hand-picked selection of followers who applaud the ruler loudly at the right points in his speech, following the script dutifully. Greetings from North Korea.
