Bo Horvat scored his first goal in the Isles jersey in the New York Islanders’ 4-0 win over the Seattle Kraken (without Philipp Grubauer). However, teammate IIya Sorokin became the match winner. The keeper booked a 32 save shutout. The Pittsburgh Penguins also landed a home win. Mike Sullivan’s team beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 after overtime. Defender Kris Letang (64th) marked the overtime game winner.
Edmonton beat Detroit 5-2, although Leon Draisaitl didn’t score a point this time and even ended the match with a plus/minus balance of -2. Moritz Seider (21:27 minutes ice time), on the other hand, provided an assist when the Red Wings lost. Oilers captain Connor McDavid extended his away scoring streak to 15 games with an assist.
