In 2023, the amount of debts to credit institutions, funds and collections, of those consumers who addressed the Union of Consumer Workers of Greece (EEKE) amounts to 7,106,675.65 euros.

EECE since 2010 has managed debts of tens of millions of euros, through guidance, support and counseling of consumer debtors.

Specifically, in 2023, the EEKE of GSEE:

  • Provided advisory support to borrowers with debts of 7,106,675.65 euros
  • It settled debts of its members amounting to 1,774,678.12 euros
  • He succeeded in writing off 55.25% of the debts he settled, that is, he wrote off the sum of 980,486.17 euros

In addition, according to the newsit, based on the data obtained from studies prepared for the debt settlement action, the EEKE:

  • From 2010 until today, he has managed debts of 98,731,244.64 euros
  • The amount of debts settled amounts to 66,993,586.55 euros
  • He succeeded in canceling 65.72% of the debts he settled, that is, he permanently canceled the amount of 44,025,458.53 euros.

“With a constant request to ensure that no vulnerable borrower will become homeless due to insufficient protection of the main residence from any form of foreclosure, EEKE will continue to support in practice the effort of every vulnerable borrower to settle his debts” as noted in the announcement.
