Previously, on January 11, Son Tra Border Guard Station received news from a family member of Mr. DVC (born 1960) and his son DVT (born in 1982, residing in Thuan An town, Phu Vang, Thua Thien – Hue) regarding vehicle accident. Accordingly, these two people moved from Thua Thien – Hue to Quang Nam to buy boats. When returning, to the area of Mui Nghe (Son Tra peninsula), the boat crashed and sank, 2 people were missing.

Soon following, the Son Tra Border Guard station mobilized forces and coordinated with local fishermen to search for the victim’s whereregardings.
However, the area of Mui Nghe often appears whirlpools, large waves, and erratic weather. At the time the vehicle crashed, there was no boat nearby to assist; The vehicles of the two victims did not report to the Border Guard stations, so the rescue work faced many difficulties.
