EGHA Myatkhan, a solo indie musician from Tangerang, released his first album, Zero Two One, with his first single with a Pop Rock nuance entitled Take Me Home.
This song is the first representative of a collection of 10 songs that Egha will release.
Before the release of the first album, Egha had released several singles which could be heard on various digital platforms such as Spotify, YouTube and others. Among them are Eclipse, an instrumental song released in 2021 and Hold On in 2022. Several other songs will be present in the Zero Two One album collection.
“Zero Two One is actually a play on Zero to One, because I think my album portfolio is still zero, so it’s one now. Then, because 90% of the songs on this album are in English, I don’t want to give up my identity as an Indonesian. “Because, I come from Tangerang, where the telephone area code is 021, Jabodetabek to be precise, so the identity of where I come from is implied in the name of this album, that’s where Zero Two One comes from,” explained Egha.
It is reported that all the production of this album’s songs, starting from writing, arranging, mixing and mastering, was done by Egha himself.
“I do all my own production in my bedroom, which I have to functionally transform into a recording studio as it is. “Maybe that’s also what made this album take a little longer to finish, around 2 years, but in the end the dream that always haunted my sleep to make an album was finally achieved this year,” he said.

For the cover artwork, Egha collaborated with Bagus Pambudi, an illustrator from Jakarta.
“I always think that when I do something big and meaningful in my life, I want to involve the closest people in my life. Bagus is my best friend and he is a professional illustrator and artist. I didn’t need to think twice about this decision, he just had to listen and absorb all the songs on this album, somehow his emotions and imagination immediately worked to translate everything into visual form, and I really like the results
his work, because it really represents all the songs, stories and nuances in this album.”
The first song on this album, Take Me Home, reflects the longing for calm in relationships amidst the chaos of the world.
Take Me Home presents lyrics that long for the simplicity and closeness found in the presence of a loved one. In a world full of fakeness, this song is an ode to authenticity and acceptance and appreciation for the refuge found in a genuine relationship, where the depth of the shared moment speaks louder than the anxiety out there.
“I wrote this song when I was flowering in the romance of my personal life, but at the same time, the other side of me was also worried about things happening around me, which seemed to keep pushing me to get away from the hustle and bustle. “The hustle and bustle that exists in society, it’s like you just want to leave the two of you somewhere out of nowhere,” said Egha.
As the first single from the forthcoming album, the song shows the depth of Egha Myatkhan’s musicality and is the perfect introduction to the wider album. (RO/Z-1)
