With the conflict approaching its second month, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Saturday that it had begun requiring all Sudanese to obtain a visa before entering the country.

In a statement, she confirmed that her decision came following discovering illegal activities.

It is noteworthy that Western countries had evacuated their nationals from Sudan, which has been witnessing an armed conflict since April 15 between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

Thousands of Khartoum residents also fled to other states to escape the ongoing clashes.

The issue of visas between Egypt and Sudan has caused confusion during the last period, especially following it was reported that Sudanese entered the lands of their neighbor without permits, the beginning of the crisis.
