Al-Marsad Newspaper: An official source in the Egyptian Chamber of Tourism and Antiquities Companies said that it will not allow travel for holders of personal visas to Saudi Arabia except through reviewing tourism companies and reviewing the company’s supervisor during the current period.

A major case of controversy arose in Egypt, after the statement of the Chamber of Tourism Companies, about Egyptians traveling to perform Umrah by obtaining a visa through the Egyptian Umrah Gate and paying the visit fees.
The Chamber of Tourism Companies said that it is not possible to travel from Egypt except through a “special barcode” at the Egyptian Umrah gate.
The Chamber indicated that the Egyptian Umrah Gate is the only legitimate destination for Egyptians to perform the Umrah, and anyone who travels in another way will be prevented from traveling at Egyptian airports, as happened to many Egyptians last season.
