Al-Marsad Newspaper: A video clip documented the moment unidentified masked men shot a Coptic youth named Rani Raafat, while he was inside his shop in the city of Dabaa in Matrouh Governorate. He received regarding 22 bullets in the head and his body fell instantly.
Egyptian media also reported that another person, Sherif Rashad, was wounded by a stray bullet, noting that the dead young man’s body was transferred to El Alamein Model Hospital, at the Public Prosecution’s disposal, while the injured was transferred to a hospital in Alexandria for treatment.
Raafat Nour, the father of the victim, said, in statements to Al-Watan newspaper: “I was at home in Dabaa, and a phone came to my son to open the shop to receive goods for agricultural supplies in a project he works in the followingnoon, and he works as an agriculture teacher in Burj Al Arab, following he was transferred from El Dabaa School, then A phone came to me regarding the death of my son, and when I went to the store, I found him dead, shot with 22 automatic weapon bullets, and lying on the ground covered in his blood.”
