Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated in Morocco on Monday, May 2, the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs announced.
In a press release, the ministry specifies having carried out the observation, following the prayer of Al Maghrib, Sunday 29 Ramadan 1443 H, corresponding to May 1, 2022 and confirmed the observation of the lunar crescent announcing the beginning of the month of Chaoual 1443 H.
Deprived for two years of performing the Aid prayer according to Muslim tradition, the faithful will be able to go to Moussalas and mosques to perform “Salat Al Aïd”. Although no official information has been communicated by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, regional delegations have announced the organization of the Aid prayer in the Moussalas. Thus, the delegation of Habous and Islamic affairs in Oujda-Angad announced that the Aid Al-Fitr prayer for the year 1443/2022 will be performed from 8 a.m. in the four Moussalas of the city. The delegation in Agadir also announced that the prayer will take place from 7:30 am.
