“El Betel” Reception Center wins solidarity Christmas

News from Angola – The Child Care Center “El Betel”, located in Zango 2, benefited this Wednesday, in Luanda, from a Christmas Solidarity action, promoted by the Development Bank of Angola (BDA).

According to the note that Notícias de Angola had access to, the event that brought together approximately 200 children, conveyed the spirit of solidarity and well-being of people in situations of social vulnerability.

The act fits within the scope of its corporate social responsibility actions, it provided love, joy and moments of play were the highlights of the event, culminating in the offer of food, school material, toys and mattresses to equip the dormitories of the male and female wings.

On the occasion of the Presidency of the Board of Directors of the BDA, Maria do Carmo Bernardo, referred that the Institution will continue to develop actions of the kind.

“Our mission is to promote Angola’s economic progress, which necessarily involves promoting people’s well-being, as part of the integral development process of Angolan society. Children and young people are the principle of this whole strategy”.

For his part, the director of the El Betel Centre, Adérito Nunda, thanked the Bank for its initiative, which minimizes the shortcomings they have been facing.

“This gesture meets most of our needs in terms of food, school and the living conditions of the dormitories”.

Remember that the El Betel Center has 5 classrooms where 1st to 6th grades are taught and has been in existence for 16 years.
