Senior comedian Eddy Gombloh died on Thursday (4/8) at 12.30 WIB at the Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta.
Eddy Gombloh is said to have died of heart disease which resulted in complications.
However, there is a sad story from Diah Pujiati, the eldest son of the late Eddy Gombloh from his first wife, who admitted that he had no news of his father’s death.
“From the time my late papa was sick until he died, they never confirmed it to me. I heard that Papa died from the media. As a child, honestly this made me very disappointed,” said Diah.
Not only that, Diah also felt disappointed with her surrogate mother, Martina Lubalu.
Diah’s disappointment emerged after her father was buried according to Christian religious beliefs.
“How could Papa be buried in a Christian way. I couldn’t understand it,” said Diah.
In addition, Diah also said that the family of her next mother could not show Eddy Gombloh’s baptismal certificate at the funeral.
In fact, Diah also never received news about the baptism of her late father.
“As far as I know if people want to be baptized, there must be a notification to me. Until yesterday, when you heard that the Kalideres Police Chief said where, the baptismal certificate was not available at the funeral,” said Diah.
Diah has always known that her late father was a Muslim.
Diah also revealed a story about Eddy Gombloh’s message that he wanted his grave to be piled up with his deceased first wife, Subandiah.
Even so, Diah didn’t really mind Eddy Gombloh changing religion at all.
However, the thing that made Diah disappointed was that she was not informed about her father’s conversion.
“Honestly, for me, any religion is good. The problem is, why wasn’t I told that I have embraced another religion?” closed Diah Pujiati.
